Theme: is about the poet who feels quite lonely; I suppose he has lost or kept himself away from the coection with other earthly people and mostly is in favor of being in touch with heavenly creatures. This tendency is clear when it comes to talking about inward eye, being a cloud, talking about milky way, sprightly dance, etc.
The poem has imagery based on the imaginative descriptions and depictions made.
Line 1: personification – simile
Line 4: metaphor (daffodils)
Line 6: personification
Line 7: simile (stars)
Line 8: metaphor (milky way: way to heaven)
Line 12: head represents the petal of the flowers (personification) – sprightly dance: spiritual excitement
Line 13: personification
Line 21: they come into existence because he supposes he has spiritual vision which is enjoyable and pleasurable and gets him out of solitude and then the poet sets out to dance with them!
